Utterson stood there for a while where Hyde had left him, thinking about Hyde and started to wonder what was the relationship between Hyde and Jekyll. Soon, he began to feel disgust for the man when he thought about Jekyll and Hyde kissing and hugging as he had suspected them to be couples.
He felt sorry for Jekyll ( ever since he had cheated on him but he also felt sorry for Jekyll having Hyde as his new boyfriend because after seeing Hyde's appearance, he thought that he was more handsome and more beautiful than Hyde. After all, Utterson would go for a facial treatment every weekend. ) Therefore, he decided to pay Jekyll a visit.
When he reached Jekyll's house, Poole, Jekyll's servant, let him in. Usually, Utterson would feel very comfortable sitting in Jekyll's hall but that night after his suspicions over Jekyll and Hyde's relationship, he felt cold and uneasy. He also missed Jekyll as Jekyll used to hug him whenever he felt cold but ever since he cheated on Jekyll, things had changed......
Utterson began to investigate the relationship of Jekyll and Hyde. So, he asked Poole whether he had seen Hyde entering through the laboratory door. Poole said that he had, and that Hyde had a key to the laboratory. He also stated that the servants had orders to obey Hyde. He further added that Hyde never ate dinner in Jekyll's residence.
Utterson felt sorry for Jekyll, thinking that he was most likely sad when Hyde did not want to dine with him. He was also sorry for Hyde as he knew the food cooked by Jekyll's chief was terrible. He was worried that Jekyll would not see him.
A fortnight later, Utterson's worries were gone as Jekyll had invited him to have dinner together. Utterson thought Jekyll had forgiven him so he was extremely happy. He even bought a new suit for the dinner.
After dinner, Utterson proposed to Jekyll to be his boyfriend again. Jekyll was shocked but he told Utterson that he would consider his proposal. Utterson was full with joy as he knew that he had hope to be with his first lover again.
As he thought that Jekyll would listen to everything he says, he stated his disapproval of the will. He urged Jekyll to tell him what was wrong. He also warned Jekyll that Hyde was not a nice man as he was a worse boyfriend compared to him. Jekyll assured him that he could get rid of Hyde if he wanted to. Again, the doctor requested that Utterson carry out the instructions given in the will if anything were to happen to him. He also warned Utterson to mind his own business as he was pissed with Utterson for being a busybody over his will.
